Air Conditioning Utah

What do you do if it’s summer and it’s hot and your air conditioning system decides to quit working? We never want anyone to be in “hot spot” or situation (literally speaking). When such a problem occurs, you should contact a licensed professional that is experienced in Utah Air Conditioning Repair.¬† Before making contact, www.uniwestinc.com www.plumberssaltlakecity.org there are a few simple troubleshooting techniques we suggest to ensure that you do spend any extra dough.

Air Conditioner Troubleshooting

Air Conditioning Troubleshooting : One of the first things you will want to do is to check your thermostat, to make sure that it is set to cool and that it is set to a lower temperature than the actual room temperature.

Make sure that you have a clean air filter, then check to see if the fan is running. If it is not, there may be a blown fuse or a tripped circuit. If one of the circuits is tripped, you can open the access panel and reset it by shutting it off and then turning it back on. If it trips again, there may be a problem with the wiring and you will want to consult an Air Conditioning Systems Licensed Professional.

Check to see if there is any ice or frost buildup around the unit. There may even be some water pooled around the bottom of the Air Conditioner. Depending on the type of unit you have, there might be copper lines visible that lead to the outside unit. If so, you will want to turn the outside unit off for a couple of hours to let the ice melt.

If you had to do the above step, and it has been about two hours, you can turn your outside unit back on and let it run for about five minutes. After the five minutes, you can feel the copper line at the outside unit. If it is not cold, or if there is frost on the line itself, then you have a problem with the refrigerant charge or temperature and pressure function and you need to call a Licensed Professional.

If the unit still does not work after trying all of these activities, you will want to contact a licensed professional that has experience with heating and air conditioning systems, and Air Conditioning Repair Services.
